When selecting a home tutor you will want reassurance that you are getting the best quality service and that your child will be safe and well looked after.
We ensure that our safeguarding policies and procedures are in place for safeguarding and child protection.
We fully adhere to the Tutor Doctor UK safeguarding policies, ensuring we deliver the service that our customers expect and the reassurance they need:
- We undertake a four stage process for our tutors, culminating in a face to face interview. We check the suitability and backgrounds for all members of the Tutor Doctor tutoring team, including gaining references and having up to date DBS checks according to our policy.
- Upon registration we provide guidance for tutors to ensure they work within a professional code of conduct and behave in accordance with the guidelines that our set out by our senior management.
- We have procedures in place to monitor, identify and report cases of inappropriate behaviour by tutors.
- Our Educational Consultants establish a safe environment in which children can learn and tutors can teach in harmony.
All members of our team, including our tutors have signed Independent Service Agreements with Tutor Doctor, agreeing to adhere to the Tutor Doctor code of conduct.
Parents or guardians should understand that the responsibility for ensuring child safety is a joint effort and that the parents or guardians play a crucial supporting role in managing and monitoring tutor’s behaviour.
Safe recruitment practices and procedures are always followed. If you wish to discuss any aspect of safeguarding please contact the team at Tutor Doctor Colchester.
